DOWNTOWN ABERDEEN COMMUNITY VISION FORUM

What's Next?

On Tuesday, September 17th, 2024, members of the community, Town Staff, Elected Officials and Appointed Board Members gathered together to complete a series of guided activities identifying community stakeholders, partners, assets and economic drivers.

The series of activities culminated in each participant group presenting an economic positioning statement that will serve as foundational guides towards crafting a final 5-year Downtown Aberdeen Economic Positioning Statement for formal review and adoption by the Town's Board of Commissioners.

This 5-year statement will include 2-3 economic development strategies that were identified through completion of the forum activities, and a combination of the proposed statements.

These strategies will drive the Downtown Aberdeen Advisory Board's (DAAB) strategic planning activities on an annual basis, known as the Annual Plan of Work.

What you will see...Downtown revitalization in ACTION!
