Our
Projects

The Downtown Aberdeen Advisory Board (DAAB), committees and stakeholders collaborate to identify areas of opportunity and brainstorm unique solutions for enhancing infrastructure, facades and streetscapes and other downtown elements in a variety of ways.  These projects follow a 4-point strategy aligned with our annual work plan and funding.  These are a few examples of the various types of projects we have completed to date: 

Historic Preservation

Historic Downtown properties listed on the National Register of Historic Places received new plaques to replace old, worn out or missing signage.

Wayfinders

Simple visuals that help direct locals and visitors to, around and within our central business district, guiding from one point to another.

These banners instill a spirit of celebration throughout downtown, through a variety seasonal and holiday designs.

Special Events

Markets are a fun and engaging way to fuel economic activity unique activities for all-ages to enjoy while shopping, dining or exploring.

Downtown Crosswalks (Pending)

Pedestrian safety is a must and we are working to bring improvements to as many intersections as possible. Keep checking back for updates and progress as we continue working through the planning and approval processes.

(Future) Aberdeen Library (New Site) (Ongoing)
